I was inspired by Latisha’s Pillow Boxes post last week that I went and purchased the pillow box die for today’s project! LOL!
With Christmas coming in a few months, I thought I’d get a head’s start on my gift giving. Using the 3D Foam Christmas Shapes, I accented this pillow box with just enough sparkle to accent my gold foiled sticker tags…
Let me show you how I created this gem! I start by die cutting the pillow box die with my manual die cutting machine using patterned paper. Then I assembled the box together with the Home & Hobby E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips.
Next I sprinkled the holly leaves with green glitter and pressed the red foil into the holly berries. Note: use a small watercolor brush to get those loose glitter out of the way!
Took a strip of red cardstock from my scrap pile and cut it to 1 x 6″ to create a band around the pillow box. Using the box as a guide, I gently scored the sides. Add the gold foiled stickers and embellished 3D Foam Christmas Shapes. Write a little greeting and name in red.
Then add DODZ™ – Medium to one end, wrap around the box and adhere to the other end.
And it’s ready to be placed under the Christmas tree! Here’s another look or two…
