Slimline Foil Merry Christmas Card

Hi, Jamie here with you today with a vintage-style slimline foil Merry Christmas card that uses Metallic Transfer Foil, pigment ink, and embossing powder.

Slimline Foil Merry Christmas Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Slimline Foil Greeting Steps

Place a Merry Chippie face down on a sheet of Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6in., rub to transfer the adhesive, and then remove the Chippie. The Adhesive Sheet is a thin adhesive and will give edge-to-edge coverage to the Chippie. Any extra adhesive that’s between the letters simply rubs off with your finger.

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with Adhesive Sheets

Remove the yellow liner from the Adhesive Sheet and use it as a mask to cover the letters by leaving one letter at a time visible.

Take the gold foil sheet from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheet in Celebrate Colors pack and place it on the “M” with the pretty side of the foil up so you can see it. Give it a good rub to transfer the color and peel off the carrier sheet.

Now move the yellow sheet to reveal the next letter but still keep the rest of the letters covered and apply the green Foil from the same pack. Keep alternating between the two colors of Foil until all of the letters are done.

Distress the Sentiment

I wanted to give the “Merry” an aged look, so I rubbed it with Golden Glitz Delicata Pigment Ink by rubbing the pad directly on the word.  It was then covered with clear embossing powder and heat embossed.

Here’s a closer look at the completed word.  In person, it’s super sparkly and shiny.

Slimline Foil Merry Christmas Card Background

A mini slimline cover plate was die-cut from white cardstock and Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8″ was used around the border of the cover plate piece.

Slimline Foil Merry Christmas Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

The cover plate was placed on the same size sheet of decorative paper.

Card Assembly

Pop up the “Merry” Chippie on the center of the panel using 3D Foam Circles. Place the stamped and heat embossed “Christmas” sentiment below and off the right side of “Merry” with the 3D Foam Circles.

Slimline Foil Merry Christmas Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Lift the word up by applying 3D Foam Circles White Mix on the back. I used enough 3D Foam Circles to ensure no sagging of the word once mounted to the card. Attach the panel to a green card with Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1/8in

Halloween Treat Bags

Hello friends! Here it is at the end of September already! Next comes October and that brings Halloween. With that in mind, I put together an easy-to-assemble Halloween Treat Bag! The basic treat bag is easy to make with #8 tags. You can decorate with stamping as I did or go in your own direction.

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Treat Bag Base

The basic components to make Halloween Treat Bag are two #8 white tags and two 2 x 2.25-inch pieces of white cardstock.

Designer Tip: Two 3.125 x 6.25 inches pieces of white cardstock can be used in place of tags. Simply punch a hole at the top and cut corners as desired.

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Score 1.5 inches from the bottom on each tag and score 0.5 inches from each edge of the longer side of both cardstock pieces

Stamping and Spraying on Tags

On one tag, stamp web with Versamark ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. This will be in front of the Halloween Treat Bag.

The photo below shows the process. The first tag shows it’s stamped with web, The second one shows it’s sprayed with stains, and the last one is stamped with bats

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Spray stamped tag and plain tag plus side pieces with Distress Spray Stains (Villainous Potion, Uncharted Mariner, Wild Honey). Mist lightly with water. Repeat spray stains as desired. Set aside to dry or dry with a heat tool.

When dry, rub over the web with a towel to remove excess ink. Clear embossing on the web acts as a resist to allow the white color of paper to show through.

Use Distress Archival Ink (Black Soot) to stamp bats. I inked only a portion of the bat stamp.

Assemble Halloween Treat Bag

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Fold tags and side pieces along the score lines. Apply strips of the Crafty Power Tape Dispenser 20’ to the bottom of the back tag below the score line (the one that’s not stamped). Also, apply Crafty Power Tape on scored edges of both side pieces.

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Remove the liners from the Crafty Power Tape Dispenser 20’ on the tag and attach tags together between score lines.

Remove liners from one end of each side piece. Adhere to one tag along the side and next to the bottom fold as shown in the photo. Remove liners from other ends, fold tags up to form a bag, and press the side piece against the other tag to form a treat bag.

Designer Tip: The following steps can be done before the assembly of the treat bag if you so choose.

Stamping the Greeting and Pumpkin

Stamp greeting with Versamark ink on black cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Trim to a rectangle around the greeting

Stamp pumpkin with black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Use watercolor crayons to color pumpkin and then blend colors with a water brush. Fussy cut out the pumpkin and use a craft knife to cut out the inside space of the handle.

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Secure the Pumpkin and Greeting

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Place a large square from 3D Foam Squares Black Mix on the back of the pumpkin, remove the liner, and fasten the pumpkin to the Halloween Treat Bag.

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Apply a regular size 3D Foam Squares Black Mix to the back of the greeting, peel liners and attach to the Halloween Treat Bag.

Halloween Treat Bags by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Simply repeat to make as many Halloween Treat Bags as you like! All that’s left is to fill it with treats and share it with someone special!

Thanks for Visiting!

Butterfly and Lace Transparency Card

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you how easy is to make a lovely Butterfly and Lace Transparency Card. To make this, I will feature the E-Z Runner Permanent Fine Adhesive Dispenser. It is ideal when you are using transparent card stock like velum.

Butterfly and Lace Transparency Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Transparency Card Steps

I started with a regular card base of 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2 and score it at 4-1/4″. Keep the card open to cut the die-cut panel on both sides of the card, leaving the same distance from each border.

Butterfly and Lace Transparency Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Additionally, I die-cut a piece of Vellum Cardstock of the same size as the card base and made a score line on the center. The idea is to put this transparent piece inside of the card to see through the die-cut window.

Butterfly and Lace Transparency Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

To secure the vellum card to the inside of the card base, I used E-Z Runner Permanent Fine Adhesive. You only need to secure the lateral borders to create a better flexibility of the transparent layer.

Butterfly and Lace Transparency Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Embellish the card:

To don’t compete with the concept of the card, I decided to embellish and decore it with a few elements. First, I printed one of the butterflies included on the digital stamp set Just Butterflies onto white smooth cardstock. Then, I colored it and fussy cut with scissors.

Butterfly and Lace Transparency Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

To adhere it to the card, I used one Adhesive Dots Medium. I placed it in the center of the butterfly to give movement to the wings.

Butterfly and Lace Transparency Card by Martha Lucia Gomez for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I stamped a sentiment using Memento Ink Morocco and pasted some clay dots in coordinating colors using the Glue Pen Dual Tip.

Love Paw Scrapbook Layout

Hello friends!  It’s Shannon up on the blog today bringing you this layout full of Love Love Love!  I love to use a cut file as a starting point when creating a layout!  You can add all kinds of fun dimensions and include lots of little embellishments to make it pop! Let me show you my Love Paw Scrapbook Layout process.

Love Paw Scrapbook Layout by Shannon Allor for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Love Paw Cut File

I started by backing the large cut file using E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser and filling in all of the letters and the adorable dog paw print.

Love Paw Scrapbook Layout by Shannon Allor for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Make It Dimensional

Next, I popped the entire cut file up using my favorite Crafty Foam Tape in White.  It has the perfect amount of dimension.  For a little extra lift, you can always double up the tape.  How awesome that it’s totally customizable!

Love Paw Scrapbook Layout by Shannon Allor for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I created the base by double-matting my background paper.  The E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips was clutch as it has a nice strong hold.  The cut file now has the perfect place to rest.

Love Paw Scrapbook Layout by Shannon Allor for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Our base is complete and it’s time to add the photo and some cute little die-cut pieces using the Crafty Foam Tape White 108ft.  I included a few adorable flair pieces and this project is complete!

Thanks Leaf Card Tutorial

Hi, all! Do you love all things Fall-related? Teri here to show you how to make a Fall-inspired Thanks Leaf Card!

Thanks Leaf Card Tutorial by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

This card finds inspiration from the colors of the season, plus it has a Fall leaf on it! Let’s get started!

Create an Inky Background for the Thanks Leaf Card

Begin by applying some lines of permanent dots onto a panel of kraft cardstock. Then blend orange and red inks onto the panel over the adhesive!

Thanks Leaf Card Tutorial by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Use your fingers to remove the adhesive and you’ll end up with a fun pattern in your ink! Set the panel aside and pull out a second panel of kraft cardstock. Stamp a leafy background stamp on it. Cut the leaf from the background. Lightly apply some ink onto the leaf.

Thanks Leaf Card Tutorial by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Take your inked panel and stamp the same leafy background onto it. Add a portion of an old book page to the bottom of your panel, and mount the panel onto a card base.

Thanks Leaf Card Tutorial by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Randomly apply adhesive onto your inked panel where the leaf is. Add thread to the panel.

Apply some adhesive dots onto your inked panel, as well as on your fussy cut leaf. Burnish gold or copper foil onto them.

Thanks Leaf Card Tutorial by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Mount the leaf onto your card with 3D Foam Squares, covering up where the thread is anchored onto your card.

Thanks Leaf Card Tutorial by Teri Anderson for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Stamp a sentiment on a strip of cardstock. Snip off one end with your scissors. Use 3D Foam Squares to adhere the sentiment on your card.

Easy Sweet Rush Layout

Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a bright and fun Easy Sweet Rush Layout to share. This bright and beautiful collection was so much fun to work with. I’ll show you how to create a simple dimensional layout with patterns and embellishments. Here are all of the details on how I created this simple layout.

Easy Sweet Rush Layout by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Let’s Get Crafty

The first steps in creating the easy sweet rush layout was to cut the patterned colour blocks (2.5×4) and crop my photo. Then I matted them all in white cardstock using the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser. I love to mix bold patterns and colours, and this collection was so much fun to do that with.

Easy Sweet Rush Layout by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Adhere these matted pieces across the middle of the layout using Crafty Foam Tape White. I used 2 layers of Crafty Foam Tape White under the matted photo. I love to give different depths to the layout using layers of foam adhesives.

Easy Sweet Rush Layout by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Next I added lots of ephemera embellishments around this easy sweet rush layout using a combination of Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix and 3D Foam Squares White Mix.

Easy Sweet Rush Layout by Tracy McLennon for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

My final touch was to add a little bit of sparkle to this Easy Sweet Rush Layout by adding gold star stickers and gems.

Music To My Ears Scrapbook Page

Hi, Connie here with a Music To My Ears scrapbook page using the 3D Crafty Foam Tape 108′ to create a fun dimensional border at the bottom of the page. Can I just say that I love all the creative possibilities with the Crafty Foam Tape? It is at the top of my list of favorite adhesives!

Music To My Ears Scrapbook Page by Connie Mercer for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

This fun patterned paper just screams “boy” to me. So grab some cute patterned paper if it speaks to you! Take a 1/2″ off two sides of one 12×12 paper, cut some border strips, out of the coordinating paper, in the collection (about 1″ x 12″) in size, and don’t forget the Crafty Foam Tape 108′.

Assemble the Music Page

The stickers I used for the title are from “back in the day”. They had lost the adhesive on the back of each letter. No problem! The Dual Tip Glue Pen worked like a champ!!! To complete the page, acrylic paint was splattered randomly on the front of the page.

Thanks for stopping by and scrapbooking with me.

Vintage Butterfly Card

Hello everyone, Yvonne here with a Vintage Butterfly Card. I love vintage-styled cards with romantic colors. The soft salmon color and the bows give a feminine touch to this card.

Vintage Butterfly Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

I would love to share how I made the card. Shall we get started?

Making the Card Base

Start by trimming a piece of patterned paper to a rectangular size. Then use a distressing tool to alter the edges of the patterned paper. Then add a little brown ink onto the torn edges to make it more vintage looking. Next, adhere the altered card panel onto a salmon card panel using the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser for affixing.

Vintage Butterfly Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Then adhere onto a white card base again using the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.

Creating the Doilies

First die-cut and emboss a circle shape from dull gold cardstock. Then die-cut and emboss a white doily circle shape from white cardstock. Next adhere both die-cuts onto the card base using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix.

Vintage Butterfly Card by Yvonne van de Grijp for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Embellishing the Card

First fuzzy cut a butterfly and adhere to the card base using Adhesive Dots Ultra Thin. Next stamp the sentiment upon a piece of white cardstock using a black ink pad. Then cut it to a banner and adhere it to a salmon banner using the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Then adhere the banner onto the card using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix.

For a finishing touch, I adhered two white satin bows onto the Vintage Butterfly Card using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix.

And voilá your card is ready. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and wish you happy crafting.

Hello Thinking of You Card

Hello! Today I am sharing a Hello Thinking of You card to perk someone’s day with a colorful background and a little sparkly accent. I will show you step by step how I achieved this wonderful friendship card!

Hello Thinking of You Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Hello Thinking of You Card Background

To make the panel, shades of yellow and pink inks were blended on white cardstock, then attached to a black card using the E-Z Runner Grand Dispenser.

Hello Thinking of You Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Work on the Card Panel

Stamp the flower on watercolor paper and color it with colored pencils. Then die-cut with a rectangle stitched die and layered onto a purple die-cut panel also using the E-Z Runner Grand Dispenser.

Stamp the Hello Thinking of You sentiments on the panel and then pop up it with 3D Foam Circles. I mounted it diagonally on the card.

Sparkly Accents

Butterflies were die-cut from foam from the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit with Foils.

Hello Thinking of You Card by Jamie Martin for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Place one of the butterflies in the top right corner. Take the gold foil from the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit with Foils and apply it to the top (color side up) of the butterfly and rubbed to transfer the color. Add a little rhinestone to its body to finish. Add three star shapes from the E-Z Runner Stars to the bottom left of the card. Rub crystal glitter on top and tap off the excess.
